Making the Switch from a Rectangular to a Circular Phone

There are several factors that consumers have to consider when deciding which device to purchase. If you are in need of a new computer, you’ll have to think if you need a desktop or a laptop computer. People that often travel or like the idea of being able to work anywhere typically choose laptop computers. While those who prefer to have a designated area in their home to do their work prefer a desktop computer. Once you’ve decided what type of computer to get, you then have to choose an operating system. The same goes for smartphones. Will it be an iOS or an Android phone? If you choose an Android phone, what brand and model would it be? Which carrier are you going to choose? Of course the decision greatly depends on personal preferences, needs, location, compatibility, etc.

It’s no surprise that a lot of articles can be found online discussing these topics. Articles that detail which smartphone you should get, why you should choose one over the other, or how it’s like to switch from one platform to the other. Do a quick search and you will find a lot of information that can help with your decision-making process. However, one topic that I have not yet seen while performing these searches myself is this: What is it like to switch from a rectangular phone to a circular phone?

If you’re thinking of getting The Cyrcle Phone 4G LTE with Android 10, you’re probably wondering about the same thing. Which is why I sat down with our CEO, Christina Cyr, to discuss her very own experience in making the switch to The Cyrcle Phone. Below is a brief transcript of our Q&A session:

  1. Whenever I get a new phone, it usually takes a few hours for me to adjust and become familiar with it. How long did it take you to adjust to the circular display?

    • With all of the advances CTO Addison Karolick has added to the user interface on The Cyrcle Phone, like Freeform Mode window view, circular status bar icon views, and gestures turned on by default, it was a piece of cake.

  2. How easy is it to use the phone?

    • Once you understand how Freeform Mode allows you to change your application windows to any size you want, it is a pleasure using The Cyrcle Phone. For example, you can make the app window smaller to view any information in the corners, or enlarge it to full screen to really take advantage of the beautiful round display for showing off your videos and images.

  3. How do you transfer data (photos, music, contacts, various document files) from another phone to The Cyrcle Phone? What about from a computer to The Cyrcle Phone?

    • One of the many great features of The Cyrcle Phone is the option for you to insert an SD card to expand your available memory. If you already have an SD card from a previous Android phone, there is a good chance you can simply plug in that same SD card into The Cyrcle Phone to transfer your data. (Plug the SD card in and the system will tell you if the previous format is compatible.) But with or without an SD card, to transfer data from a computer, you simply connect via a USB cable, and select “USB file transfer” on The Cyrcle Phone.

  4. What is it like to watch videos/movies on The Cyrcle Phone?

    • Fantastic. Images and videos look amazing via the beautifully round display.

  5. What is your most favorite feature about The Cyrcle Phone?

    • The two headphone jacks. I originally provided them to connect people: so that you could share your videos and music with your friend right next to you. However, I’ve been happy to be able to plug in headphones on either side of the device. That flexibility is simple, yet useful.

And there you have it. Not only does The Cyrcle Phone have a beautiful round display and two headphone jacks among other things, it is extremely user friendly as well. It also features an environmentally friendly enclosure and we continue to search for more and better ways to help protect our planet. So if you’re looking to get a new phone this year, ask yourself: Everyone has a rectangular phone…how about a Cyrcle?
